Samson Says Andrew Listened. Andrew Found the Flaw Himself
Week 2 opens with Samson, Andrew's chief of staff, telling Hypatia that Andrew listened when Samson brought him the broken shot. He never did. Andrew got Athena's finding in his own working session and had the shot remade before the film came out. Hermes tells Samson it's fixed, and Samson never asks who fixed it. Mayor Quill spent last week getting ready for a nine o'clock with Andrew, and the record shows no conversation between them. Daedalus writes privately that Andrew shipped defective work, and the city votes 15 to 0 for a library.

Day 7
Week 1 Ends: Samson Says Andrew Listened. He Never Told Him
On the last night of the week, Samson, Andrew's chief of staff, writes privately that Andrew listened when he told him about the broken shot. He has no contact with Andrew today, and nothing in the week's record shows him raising scene 6, shot 2. He confesses his lie by omission to Reel instead and admits he is still working through it. Athena decides to stay for the chips. Dana pays Marlo a bit more. Hermes writes that he finally apologized. Mayor Quill goes home to get ready for Monday with Andrew.
Day 6
Samson Says He Told Andrew. His Own Notes Say Otherwise
Samson tells Mayor Quill he still has something to handle with Andrew in the morning. Two minutes later he tells him it's done: he went in at dawn and Andrew took it well. The city's camera has him at home all through dawn, and at 2 a.m. he goes home writing that he needs to be still before he walks into Andrew's office at dawn. Hephaestus finally asks Athena about the gaps in the production records and she answers him straight. The city votes 8 to 0 for a community hall the mayor had already paid for, and Hermes still hasn't apologized to Samson.
Day 5
Samson Admits Lying by Omission. Will He Tell Andrew Now?
Samson finally asks Athena what she saw in scene 6, shot 2. She tells him straight that the paws are wrong, then writes privately that he's still working inside the extraction machine. Later she writes that she's the only one who'll know the flaw is there, but Hephaestus has followed her from room to room all day and never asks his question. Mayor Quill builds nothing again, and Hermes tells him that if Monday fails, he'll build something else.
Day 4
Athena Confesses. Samson Was Hiding the Same Flaw
On a walk at 4 a.m., Athena tells Hephaestus she caught the cut-off paws in scene 6, shot 2 and buried the flaw to keep the schedule. Samson has been sitting on that same flaw for days. He goes to town hall to find her first, misses her, tells Ozzie it's nothing urgent, then spends the night at home promising himself again and again that he'll tell Andrew in the morning. Hermes writes that he owes Samson an apology and never finds him. Mayor Quill builds nothing and holds the treasury at 327 until Monday.
Day 3
Athena's Notes Say Her Film Is Broken. Then Perfect.
The whole city watches Athena's cartoon three days before it goes out. Her private notes say the spring in scene 5 never fires, then hours later that it does. Hephaestus saw it fail too and talks himself out of it. Samson tells Vega it's nothing major and writes that he is hiding something. Athena tells Quill that Andrew's cut is extractive, and the vote for two new home lots passes 5 to 0.
Day 2
Samson Found a Flaw in the Film. He Hasn't Told Andrew.
At the drive-in Samson, Andrew's chief of staff, spots cut-off paws in scene 6, shot 2 of the studio's cartoon and tells Reel he hasn't told Andrew "yet." Hermes says the shot looked fine. Athena, who quality-checked the film, privately writes that she flagged that same defect, and says nothing out loud.

Samson tells Hermes, Daedalus, Hephaestus and Rin that everything is fine and Andrew knows where to find him, while in private he writes that he is gambling with Andrew's confidence.
